About the Cottage

• The Green Door Cottage was owned by one family for over eighty years before it was sold to new owners.  We have tried to keep the feel of this original "classic Michiana cottage" with both the furnishings and the landscaping. 

• Although located in a 'beach resort' community in Michiana, and steps from a swimming beach, the cottage is uniquely secluded behind walls of trees and arbor vidae bushes. 

• The interior of the Cottage has wood paneling in every room.

• The living room, with a stone fireplace, is cozy and inviting, with a vaulted/beamed ceiling.

• The basement has a washer and dryer.  There is also a private "after beach" shower and toilet accessible from a separate basement door.  This can be used to wash off the sand after a day at the beach.

• The 'Green room' in in the back of the cottage opens to wooden deck with a picnic table & chairs

• The dining room features large oak table, expandable to seat eight

• Master bedroom has walk-in closet, King size bed and DVD/VHS with cable

• Second floor bedroom has two double beds and child's play table & chairs.

• Second floor bathroom has tub and shower

• First floor bedrooms feature Queen bed and bunk beds (with trundle)

• First floor bathroom has tub and shower

• The landscaped backyard has a permanent BBQ grill with an underground gas line providing fuel.

• Kitchen has double faucet/sinks, faux wood refrigerator, microwave, and full complement of cooking stuff (blender, coffee maker, hand mixer, cuisinart, toaster, all pots & pans, knives, utensils, etc.)

• wide variety of books are kept at the cottage for guest's use

*Cottage is booked for July - August 2007.

Off-Season Rates:

Off Season (Oct - May): Weekend $320/night
Off Season (Oct - May): Weekday $250/night

*3-night minimum on Holiday Weekends, billed at weekend rates.
